  • Random #1

The following are random events that happened throughout my day.

My bank called today to let me know that my debit card number may have been compromised.

Somebody vomited on the sidewalk last night. I almost stepped in it on my way to work.

I dropped a pencil off the balcony. On accident. It landed on the neighbors deck below. He scares me. It's his pencil now.

I cleaned up my computer desktop the other day and organized it all to the left side. There is now a new folder on the desktop named "22". I have no idea where it came from.

My legs are still sore from working out 2 days ago.

I printed out photos of my boss and put a red circle with a slash over his face. I hung them up on all of our office doors.

I ate a delicious Original Chicken Sandwich from Burger King for lunch.

  • An Old Journal

I found this in an old journal of mine.

Everyday is a brand new start. You can do anything you want. But it's up to you to change the world. And it's up to you to make all the difference. Every child, big and small. Every child, young and old. You have the power to make this world beautiful just like you. Beautiful future, here we come. Beautiful future, everyone.

  • Under moonlight

A couple nights ago, I looked out the window and saw this...

Then, of course, I had to re-make my MySpace page around it.

It's only slightly enhanced. Just increased the contrast is all. Seems like the perfect next painting project.

I don't know why I haven't painted again. I have all the supplies, just not the motivation. Maybe my power will go off for a few hours soon and I will paint by sunlight.

I've been trying to listen to my play list on MySpace while I write this...but it keeps stopping because of in-myspace-music-player ads...what's that about?

I was at work when I thought about writing in here again, and it feels like I had more to say then. I'm not sure what's happened in the mean time. Nothing really. Ate some food. Played some games.

I just looked up lyrics to a song I really like, Siberian - Islands Forever, and I could only find one web page with lyrics, and they were horribly wrong. I took a few minutes to submit corrections.

    "On the coastline, under moonlight
We'll drive our cars into the lake and drown

    That collar, it suits you,
It makes you look like you've got it together

Why do you hold me up so high?
I'm the last one you should look up to

I saw your name in the paper,
They can't translate all of your love

We're sorry that you couldn't come,
but it's a full ride from here to California

Why do you hold me up so high?
I'm the last one you should look up to

    You al...
    You alway...

You always push me all around boy
And you say that you'll change your life

We'll be just like two birds on a wire"

  • The Lone Boat

Have been wanting to try my hand at painting for some time now. So...last night I went out bought paint, brushes, canvas, and a paint palette. This is the first time I've painted, aside from using Crayola watercolor in grade school.

    Click for full res.

I'm pretty excited to do another one. I learned a lot while doing this one so hopefully I'll be able to paint something nicer next time.

  • Used Cars

It's October, so that means it's time for eerie commercials. Last week a client wanted to show that they weren't another "scary" car dealer. They wanted a haunted house with cars on it with spooky music to show that they weren't as the such. Here's what I gave them.

    Original photo from Google.

    After I Photoshopped it.

And then I took it into After Effects.

    And...a screenshot of the video.

  • Llamas always have more fun.

Went to Café Moxo last night and listened to PJ Summers Band. Jeff and I enjoyed the signature drink: Two shots of espresso topped with ice cream, shaved chocolate and a shot of whipped cream.

    Nathan grotesquely attacked a sandwich.

There was a guy sitting a few chairs in front of us who looked like my brother. He was so convincing from the back that I had to text him to make sure it wasn't him.

Sitting and listening to the band made me want to start playing guitar more regularly. I still strum on it quite a bit, but nothing serious. I've been slowly learning to play some classical pieces. I wouldn't even mind finding some coffee houses to play and get booed at. Of course, my collection of songs to play would include some eLi.
